It had been almost 5 years since Jamie had last set foot in Hogwarts. He hadn’t been the nicest of students and the professors would have probably thrown a party when he had left the castle. His trip back wasn’t so he could go and haunt the teachers who had shouted and banished him from their classrooms, there was another problem in the wizarding school. Dragons were suspected to have nested in the forest and it was Jamie’s job to check up on the problem. They would probably be no trouble but with students running around, you couldn't risk hurting the fire breathing creatures if they did exist.
Jamie had to endure a walk through the castle as he wasn’t able to apparate. The familiar corridors brought back memories, sometimes he did long to be back. He hoped this job would be ongoing just so he could explore the grounds again.
Making his way past the lake, the forest came into sight. Apparently the dragons were quite a way in, however he couldn't hear them from the edge of the clearing. Usually you could tell if a dragon was present from a couple of miles out. “You coming with me?” he asked the person who had accompanied him to the forest.

Why did they even have a forest? Elliot couldn't wrap his head around it. Every time they turned around a kid was getting lost in there or a pack of carnivorous snugwumps were eating the unicorn population. If it were up to him, he would just let the dragons burn the place down and be done with it, but he supposed that would mean there was nothing in-between the dragons and the castle. There was also the dilemma of trying to find the centaurs a new home, but they could always just live on the west lawns...No, that was besides the point. Those imaginary problems would would have to wait until they dealt with the real ones. At least they'd had the sense to call in a professional.
"Me? Go in there?" Classes had been going on, so Elliot had been wrangled into escorting the dragonoligist to the forest that day. He supposed it was also to make sure that there was a medical professional on stand-by for this occasion, but he hadn't considered actually going into the forest before now. "Should I? In case you get incinerated or something and need help? But, then again, I really don't feel like being incinerated today either."

The professor seemed slightly miffed at his task of accompanying him. Jamie could tell it wasn’t on his to do list. However he needed a bit of help, if there were dragons hiding within the trees and he’d would have to have an extra pair of hands. The Head teacher had mentioned that Professor Finley was a healer, so suppose that was a good start.
They hadn’t really spoke as they walked through the grounds but as they reached the clearing Finley asked about going into the forest. “Yeah,” Jamie said, coming to a stop. He hoped he didn’t have to drag his companion in with him. “ Well, I’m not actually too sure how far in they’ll be mate. It’s really a two man job. Although my coat just so happen to be somewhat fireproof, it helps with the job, so I’ll be fine.” He shrugged slightly, nodding in the direction they needed to go. Of course he would never put the bloke in danger but the dragonologist liked to joke around, especially when it came to his specialist subject. “You coming?”
