❊ HERE COMES THE SUN ❊
One could almost always find Eric Nathaniel Devine outside when it was Spring. Today was one of those days. He was loitering in the courtyard and generally enjoying his time to himself. Sometimes it felt like he was off on his own quite often but that was generally how he enjoyed things. He could only take so much social interaction at a time and he had been quite social this month.
His camera bag was on a table and he was taking some pictures of the scenery around him. Hogwarts was a rather beautiful school and he loved taking pictures of the castles various structures. He had never really taken pictures of people. That had always struck him as being a little invasive unless they specifically asked him if he could take a picture of them or something.
He had just snapped a picture of one of the planters in the courtyard when his camera seemed to jam or something. The half-veela sighed in exasperation. "Looks like I need a new one or something," Eric mumbled to himself.

Being alone was nothing new to Asher. In fact, it was how he preferred to spend most if not all of his time. In all of his years, he'd only found two people so far that he could stand to be around for any length of time, being his cousin, Gotham, and Ion Zakharov, which was still sort of shocking to him. He hadn't really expected the last one to grow from a random encounter in the music room, but it had and he might even think of the boy as a friend now. Strange.
However, for now he was alone and that was just fine by him. He'd already had to deal with enough people in class that he just needed a bit of time to recharge again. People were a lot and they were also very exhausting. The common room and most of the other rooms in the castle always had too many people in them for Asher's liking, but the grounds were generally sparse, even in nice weather, due to their enormous size.
As he walked, he kept his eye on his surroundings, both to avoid people and also because watching them was sometimes interesting. Moving past one boy that he vaguely recognized from classes, Asher did spare a thought that there were a lot of people with cameras these days. Or at least he thought so. He didn't pay much attention to other people, but when they had something bulky like a camera with them it was hard to miss. The boy seemed frustrated with it though, which gained a snort from Asher. That was why he didn't bother with things like that. He'd just stick to his violin.
