The only upside to graduating was that Everett and Damien were now able to live together. It was fairly helpful that Everett was now also a werewolf, though, because Damien wasn't exactly sure how he would have hidden that particular secret from him for very long. It would have been difficult, to say the least.
Following graduation, both boys had taken jobs at shops in Diagon Alley, Damien at Flourish and Blotts and Everett at the Magic Menagerie. He liked working so close to his friend, and he found himself to be fairly content with his new life. It was nice to have the freedom from school.
However, he was currently facing a huge amount of writer's block. He'd finally been able to begin a novel following being turned, much to his joy. But, he wasn't able to...get out the middle part. Most afternoons found him pouring over the table after work, practically willing words to come to life. Today was no different, and, as the door swung open to revel Everett, Damien grunted in greeting. "Why is writing so hard?" He whined, throwing yet another piece of parchment on the already littered floor.
