Rhi didn't mind winter. She had good memories of her childhood spent during the season, and the cold wasn't a bother to her so long as she was dressed warmly. Besides, winter brought along its own pristine beauty (as well as its signature dreariness, but Rhi never focused on that much), so what was there not to love? Of course, catching colds and falling sick from the cold weather was never savory, but it was a small trade-off compared to the great memories and fun she could create with the ones she cared for. Namely, Tesla and the rather few close friends she had at Hogwarts--it wasn't that Rhi was anti-social, but she still wasn't open enough to befriend literally everyone she came across as her boyfriend could do so well. There were good acquaintances, of course, but she never considered them true friends unless she felt a very close bond to them, and as was typical for most people there were only a select number that really fit the bill for that.
What about her relatives? Could she not consider them part of her committee of boon companions? Well, there were her two older brothers in farm that had once lived together in prior to their mother dying, but it wasn't like she'd be able to see them often. Kindly Uncle Jay wasn't available anymore. Cousin Dominic was too young to be of any real fun, though she did love him. And she didn't consider herself close to the grandparents who served as her current guardians, so she had to make do with her boyfriend and peers. Really, though, that wasn't bad.
On one very mundane school day, Rhi decided to venture out to the greenhouses to observe the plants that were obviously guarded from the cold outside for want of a better thing to do. Growing up on the farm, she loved nothing more than almost anything pertaining to nature, and that very much included plants. She still wasn't too fond of magic and anything that had to do with it, but magically outlandish herbs were the only magical aspect of this bizarre wizarding world that she was a part of that she could tolerate. They intrigued her to some degree, even, although she very much preferred conventional plants, thank you very much.
Dressed in her school robes with a Hufflepuff scarf around her neck and a pair of matching cloves adorning her hands, Rhi entered the greenhouse from the snowy grounds outside and walked over to a table laden with pots filled with soil. The soil still smelled new and fresh--a rather rank observation, perhaps, but Rhi was rather immune to such an odor by now--so she surmised that it was a newly potted plant that was still in the process of germination.
OOC: God how I missed them so!
