She didn't like her job very much, but that was more because of the circumstances than the management. She actually thought Icarus seemed like a nice enough person, from their passings. Not like they spent extended amounts of time with each other or anything, just exchanged a couple of words every now and then. Tonight, she had asked him to meet with her after her shift to see what he had thought of her work here so far.
She'd only been working at the club for a little while now. Before that, she'd worked odd jobs here and there, but none of them had really ever paid that well. She hadn't necessarily wanted to get into the world of stripping, but, after Tammie had told her what kind of money it could provide her with, she hadn't been able to turn it down. She had to provide her son with a living and she knew she didn't have the education to be picky.
As she waited, she fiddled with the edge of the sequined top she wore, hoping that what Icarus had to say about her....craftsmanship....would be positive. She didn't really know where else she had to go at this point.

Icarus felt weird being at the club. Sure, his wife was okay with him owning a strip club. At no point had she been too angry about it. She just seemed to think it was okay. He was doing the only thing he felt like doing. Owning a strip club was an easy way to make money. Sure, he did his best to make sure his employees didn't need anything. He had plenty of employees who seemed to enjoy his changes since becoming a boss.
One of his kids had scared off the babysitter, which meant he had the twins at the club. They were too young to be too really understanding anything at all. He met Teghan without too much trouble, but all of a sudden Siobhan was reaching for Teghan. "Sorry. She usually is excited about one thing or another." Sasha stayed closer to his chest, which made him feel just fine.
Teghan smiled as Icarus entered and looked warmly upon the twins that accompanied him. There was something about seeing the girls with their father - a luxury that her own son would never have - that made her feel happy and sad, all at once. She would have given anything for Anderson to have the chance to get to know his father. It wasn't even as if Teghan had told him that she was pregnant and he had decided to disappear, it was she who had done the disappearing.
Still, she didn't regret it, not in the long run. There was no reason to destroy two young lives. His future had been so bright, the birth of a son would have likely just dimmed it. She would do just fine on her own, she always had. Pushing the thoughts from her mind, she smiled even more widely as one of the twins reached towards her. "Hello there, little one." She said in a gentle, adoring tone. Glancing back at her boss, she took in the image of him and his other little one clutched close. Clearing her throat, she spoke again. "Hello, Icarus. She's adorable, don't worry. They both are. How have you been?"

Icarus was fine with his employees. After all, he trusted them to do their job without him actually doing anything. He paid them and he was just fine with it. "Thank you." But he didn't mind it. As long as he got to spend time with her. Everything was better with his kid though. And as long as he was just doing paperwork, there was no reason for him to not have his kids with him.
"I've been well. How about you?" It was nice to know that he had good employees who didn't mind dealing with the children. If he was thinking correctly, she also had a kid.
Teghan looked between the pair again, her eyes practically widening, wanting to take in as much of the scene as she could. If she could see how her guy would have been with her boy....well, it would have been a happy, monumental day for her. But, as it were, that was something she'd never see. It didn't matter, not really. She could survive on her own. She could get by. "I miss when mine was that young..." She commented, her voice growing quieter.
She cleared her throat again, looking back up at the man. And by up, she meant up, her height had never been something she'd been gifted with. She tried to straighten, to make herself bigger. She found this often gave her more of an air of authority. "I've been okay. I hope you're not too offended when I say this, but I never thought I'd end up working in a situation like this..." She admitted, averting her gaze again.

Icarus was glad that he had one worker who had a kid. Not that he felt comfortable about talking to her about kids. But she'd gone through all of this before with her own kid. "They're a blast." He never thought he'd have kids and now they were the center of his universe.
Her words did not shock him. He shrugged. "No offense taken. I never thought I'd own a place like this." But he couldn't imagine his life any other way.
