By some weird twist of fate, Blaine shared a job with her future husband now. It was sort of weird to think about, both in regards to getting married and in sharing a place of work with someone she valued so much. Sure, they worked in different rooms in the department, but she still got to see him more than she was when she was teaching, so that was fine with her.
It was around lunchtime, so she put away the research she'd been working on for a little while. Perhaps he'd have time to grab something to eat with her. That would be ideal, because she didn't much like eating alone, not when Edison was close by at least. That just seemed silly. Making her way through the twisting rooms that made up her place of work, she found him where he normally was and lingered at the door while she waited to be noticed.

Blaine had wanted to change jobs, and Edison was fine with it. He worried that he'd talked her into it or forced her to change her job. After all, he had changed his job for her. But it wasn't really that she made him do it. Instead she'd just sort of let her worries be known, and he went out of his way to make her happy. He'd do anything to make her happy and he probably always would.
Without thinking about it, he spotted his fiance. And without any trouble, he wrapped his arms around her. "I love you." It was the only thing he needed to say. He was so proud of her for getting this job, since not anyone could be an unspeakable.
As much as Blaine had enjoyed being a professor, being back into something that involved research was even more enjoyable. Research had always been her calling it seemed and she was more comfortable learning new things than teaching old things. Sure she'd been happy as a teacher, spreading her knowledge and her love of the stars to the younger generations, but there was something far more rewarding in new discoveries. It just had the added bonus of letting her see Edison more.
She smiled when she saw that he'd noticed her waiting for him, the smile growing as his arms wrapped around her. "I love you too," she said as she leaned up to kiss his cheek. "Do you have time to grab lunch?"

When it came to being an unspeakable, Edison really wasn't sure what his job fully involved. He had been a decent curse breaker, although not the best one in the world. So now that he had to have a new job, he was still figuring out all of the ropes he needed to deal with. It wouldn't take long for him to figure it out, right? He wouldn't fail for too long.
"I always have time for lunch with you!" Mostly because a fellow unspeakable was glaring at him and he didn't feel like dealing with it. So he'd be just fine ignoring all of that and just getting lunch with his fiance. Eventually they'd have to set their wedding information and then she'd be Mrs. Blaine Faraday, unless she wanted to keep Orion, and then he'd be Mr. Edison Orion.
But he looped his arm around her waist and grinned. "I'm so lucky to have you."
Once she'd gotten her answer, Blaine smiled widely. She hadn't thought he'd be too busy since they had pretty flexible schedules, but there was always a chance that he'd be in the middle of something and couldn't leave right that second. As she felt an arm circling her waist, she leaned against him as the two of them left to find food. "I think you'll find that I'm the lucky one," she said with a soft smile up at him.
The ministry building had a few food places inside of it for those who didn't want to venture very far, but she wasn't really feeling any of them. "What do you think of that pizza place down the street?" It was a muggle restaurant, but they could blend in easily enough if he was okay with it.

Edison blew out a breath of air and rolled his eyes. "I could only wish. But no. You're a lot better then me." Edison was so thankful that she'd agreed to marry him. "And it's silly, but I really look forward to when we're officially married." It already felt like they'd been engaged for ages, but he just couldn't wait for something else to happen. He didn't care if he was Mr. Blaine Orion or if she was Mrs. Edison Faraday. No matter what, he'd be happy with it.
"Oh yeah. They have some really good food." Then again, he'd eat anything at all. It was possibly the joy of being the oldest of three boys and then being in charge of one of said boys. He was all for dealing with as much food as possible.
"That's not silly, silly," she teased him. Looking forward to something was never silly, least of all them getting married. Blaine had always hoped to find someone she felt strongly enough about to marry, but she'd never really thought she'd be so young for it. Not after failed past relationships. But things happened for a reason, right?
Her face lit up with a smile as he agreed with her suggestion. She hadn't necessarily been craving pizza before she'd mentioned it but once her mind was on it, she realized she really did want it. "Perfect," she said as she reached out to take his hand and lead the way.
