Her new brother’s best friend was a Gryffindor, which clearly meant she needed to get to know more of them. She had a few specific targets in mind for this that were in her year. It was just a matter of finding them at the right times. Though, she should probably come up with a better idea for approaching them than simply the fact that she wanted to see what kinds of friends her brother was making. That was probably not the most appropriate of ways to approach someone. She shared classes with most of them, as they were her year, so it was really just a matter of finding an excuse to talk to them. Her first target was Miranda. She hung out with Rory, who hung out with Arya so surely she knew the girl too? Mutual friends were a thing, and friend of a friend was also a thing. Thus, she was sure Miranda would be a good place to start for learning more about her brother. He didn’t talk to her, so she had to go and talk to people he knew to get to know him better. That was just what good sisters did. At least, she was convinced that was what good sisters did, and she very much wanted to be a good sister.
Now she just had to find the girl. It shouldn’t be too hard in theory, though the school was enormous so it really was easier said than done. She’d start with the popular areas and then figure out what to do after those were exhausted. Though, she wasn’t sure what she would do if the girl turned out to be in her dorm. Oh well, she’d figure out what to do once she had exhausted her other options. It was cold outside, so she bundled up and headed for the lake after checking the great hall and the kitchens. Spotting Randi she dashed up to the girl. ”Hey! Miranda! Do you like ice skating? We should go ice skating on the lake sometime. It looks frozen enough for it.” she said with a smile. Was she terrified of freezing and drowning? Absolutely, but that didn’t stop her from loving ice skating. Besides, what better way to strike up a conversation than a hobby? Speaking of which, she needed to figure out what her brother’s hobbies were so she could investigate them more thoroughly.
