Yesterday felt like a dream. Annabelle could hardly believe that she and Wayland were going to be married. That they would be together forever. She had been wondering why he had been acting strangely the past few weeks, now everything was set right. She never wanted to leave his side, and now she didn't have to. She could wake up with him by her side, grow old with him. They had a whole lifetime together.
This moment now was the first that she was apart from him. Anna sought out Arya, a second year Gryffindor who was very much like her little sister. It was just before lessons would start for the day. Anna could only hope that she could catch the younger Gryffindor. She bounded down the steps to the second year girls dorms from her own and through the door. She spotted Arya at once and flopped on her bed. "Can you fix my nails please?" asked Anna, barely concealing her glee and holding out her hands so that Arya could see the glimmering ring on her left finger.

Arya was angry. There was no real reason behind it. She was just angry and she didn't want to be around people. This was very much unlike her, but it didn't seem to matter. Instead of finding any amount of alone time, people where everywhere. Maybe she'd feel better if she had Val to talk to, but he'd been study for things. What things? Just in general things. Oh well. She'd pester him later, probably.
She'd wanted to find some alone time in the common room, but that didn't even happen. At least it was Annabelle. Although Annabelle was flashing some jewelry that wasn't normally there. "What is that?" She knew what it was. She knew all about rings and engagements. But this was something else. "No." As if her opinion mattered at all. She liked Wayland. She liked Annabelle. But they were in Hogwarts. They were students.

Anna was feeling very happy and just a little bit smug because she was the luckiest girl in the world. She had even forgotten the trouble she had endured getting to this point with Wayland's dreadful secret keeping skills. She thrust her hands into Arya's vision, who took one look and voiced her dissent. Annabelle arched a brow challengingly. "Yes," she said, a hint of a smile playing at her lips. "You're the first person I've told," she revealed after a moment.

Arya's dyed red hair shook as she shook her head no. "No." She liked Wayland. She really really did. "He's been a jerky jerk face and you're going to just marry him? Fine. But make him wait until like after graduation. Make him sweat it out." Because Jerky jerk faces don't get to have a happy ending. Or if they did, they had to work a lot harder then Wayland had worked.
