He supposed he could have held onto the scarf until Asher had somewhere to put it. Hadn’t thought of that when he offered it, and now the boy just seemed to be awkwardly holding onto it now. Oh well, if he was asked to hold onto it he would, but otherwise he just supposed Asher could carry it around for now while they wandered stores. That was fine right? It wasn’t as if Asher really needed his hands for anything else right now. Though, he did suppose he could just tie it around his waist or something, stuff it through belt loops if he had those? Anyway, that didn’t matter at the moment, they were trying to decide which way to go, and he was going to let Asher decide that one as he didn’t really have an objective here.
A direction was pointed out, and well it was fine with him. ”Sure,” he agreed with a smile. He hadn’t really explored the alley much outside of getting school supplies, so it would be nice to be able to look around a little. He asked about summer, and apparently it was just sort of going while Asher avoided his energetic family members. Well, he understood that considering he lived with Adie, who was kind of a lot to deal with all the time. He was asked in return after being told that lots of reading was being done. ”I run a lot, gets me out of the house and away from Adie who is a lot,” he said with a sigh. ”I have to hide my knitting, but I’ve been playing piano a lot too,” he said with a shrug. He supposed it was going for him too. ”I don’t think I’ve been in half these shops,” he mused aloud.
