Tom watched as Evanna went over to the shell, for some reason he thought she might have taken the seahorse. "I dunno," he called over when she asked why they were underwater creatures. He hadn't really thought of that. Tom watched as the attendant checked that they were all buckled up, he hoped that would put Evanna at ease.
The ride started with a jolt and and Tom caught the bar in front of him. He wasn't expecting it to go as fast as it was. "How you getting on?" he called over through laughter.
Evanna was starting to think this was a very poor decision, but it was much too late for that. She was just going to have to go through with it, and then hope for the best As the ride went into full swing, her fingers curled more onto the bar. "Aaahhhh," was the only response she could make in response to Tom. What in Merlin's name was she doing?
Though once she settled into the movement of the ride, she had to admit that it was not as bad as the first few seconds had been.

Tom took Evanna's screams as a positive response and continued to enjoy the ride, feeling the air sweep through his hair.
It wasn't long until it started to slow down. Tom was almost disappointed, however this meant he might be able to get Evanna to try something a bit more exciting. As it came to a stop, he jumped off and made his way over to the exit. "Up for something a bit faster now?" He called over, opening the gate, "That was a good warm up."
A little unsteadily, Evanna got out of the ride, and followed Tom to the exit. What was she doing. Oh Merlin. "No, but let's do it anyway," she responded to his question. She was here, she might as well give it a shot. Even if she didn't feel as though she had gotten over what she had just been on.

Tom could feel his legs wobble slightly after being constantly spun around. He watched Evanna make her way towards him. She didn't seem too unsteady on her feet, just a wobble as she got off the ride.
Her response made him laugh. "That's the spirit," he replied, glancing round to see what they could go on next. "This way!" A blue pathway guided them towards a rollercoaster. It was faster but wouldn't spin them round as much as last time. "This is our next stop," he pointed up towards the tallest drop, just as a carriage full of screaming people hurried along the track. "You're going to love it!" Grabbing her arm, Tom directed her towards the queue, this way she couldn't think about it too much.
As Tom pointed out the next rollercoaster, Evanna's eyes drifted up to it. "Uh..." she said, watching as the cart took off. She let him drag her along, despite the apprehension that was growing from watching. "Why do people do these things for fun?" she asked, even though part of her could see the appeal. She had enjoyed that last one a little bit, she had to admit that.

Tom could feel Evanna's nervousness as he held her arm. The roller coaster wasn't particularity high and it didn't go upside down, so hopefully once she had had a go on it she would want to go on the bigger ones. "Its the rush," he answered her and they reached the queue. " Its like you feel you're in danger but you're not really." He actually thought about why people had enjoyed theme parks but that was his personal reason. "Looks like we'll be next on if we go now." As they had arrived quite early they had avoided the masses.
Evanna supposed that she could understand that, even if wasn't something that she herself was for. She liked adventure, yes, but danger thrill seeking was something else. And quite honestly, she wasn't sure that these metal carts were safe. Despite how much that Tom had claimed that they were. "People do weird things," she mused. "Okay, let's do it." And set off towards that queue.

Tom laughed at Evanna's comment about people being weird. "And you're not?" he asked with a grin, "If anyone here knew that in our spare time we flew around on brooms or pointed wooden sticks at things they'd probably think we're pretty weird." They shuffled forward again as the last ride emptied and their group was beckoned forward. "Ready to die?," he joked, hoping he had gained her trust.
Okay, he might have had a point. Magical people did weird things too. "I don't fly on brooms," she pointed out, waving her finger at him. "I much prefer to keep my feet firmly on the ground." It ran in the family a little bit too, because she knew Edmund did as well. But then again, he'd had an incident in their childhood. "I'll give you the wooden sticks though." That would seem weird to people who did not believe in magic. They moved forward. "Not really," she said with a laugh. "But let's do it anyway."
The person ushered them towards one of the rides, and they sat down. Evanna peered at the cart they were in. It really did not feel very safe.

Tom agreed with Evanna, having his feet firmly on the ground was much more of his scene. "We haven't got a professional player here then?" he joked. "If I had a choice I wouldn't get on one either, sometimes work makes it necessary." Tom didn't like the way there was no safety when he was up flying, the idea of falling and breaking his neck wasn't his favourite.
Taking a seat on the ride Tom took a look around. The drop ahead of them seemed pretty big. He hoped Evanna would be alright with it, however showing that he was slightly nervous wasn't going to help her. "Don't worry," he told her with a confident grin. "It won't be as bad as flying a broom." @lucy
