London was a wondrous city, Emma decided. It was big and bustling and there was always something to do. There was always something to spend a lot of money on, but that was something to do as well. Emma liked the quietness of Tutshill, but she thought she might just prefer London. Who knew, maybe her soul mate was lurking about here somewhere. As she walked along the Thames Path, Emma snorted to herself. Twenty three years and she was still deluding herself into believing in true love. Shaking her mane of auburn hair, Emma continued down the path, her eyes on the water as she went.
It wasn't that she was really searching for love, she supposed. She just sort of hoped it would have turned up by now. Emma was slightly worried that her ovaries would shrivel up before she could ever start a family, and she didn't even think her responsibility levels (or lack thereof) could handle a child at the moment. She had a sister somewhere- and that would have to just be the start for now. Quidditch, find sister, drink loads of wine in the process. Not exactly a bad life.
After some time, Emma found herself in Rotherhithe. She didn't really know how to pronounce the name, but there were a lot of blonde people about. She found a pub and walked in, immediately feeling more at home. Apparently this pub was built on the site of the old dock where the Mayflower was launched. Emma was much more concerned with getting a nice glass of rosé. She ordered as she wished and wandered around. At first, she didn't notice the massive back patio, but as soon as she did her pace picked up. There was an empty chair right along the fence overlooking the Thames. She staked her claim and decided it would be best not to leave.
But how would she get refills?
