Talking Blaine into taking a day off work was surprisingly hard. Once Edison had told their boss what was going on, the male had given them his blessing to take the day off. Edison's fiance wasn't so sure about it. She questioned stuff like where they were going. How were they able to take the day off. Why was Edison blind folding her. Basically the whole ordeal was far more complicated then the Ravenclaw had originally thought it would be.
But standing on the steps of a courthouse, he couldn't stop grinning at her. Finally allowing the blindfold to be removed, he dramatically waved at the building. "What do you say? Will you marry me today?" He had an appointment and all of the paperwork had been done. Now he just needed to get her into the building with a judge so they could get married. He didn't care what happened as long as the two of them were together forever.
Surprises weren't Blaine's favorite thing in the world, but there were times when she could deal with them. If she really had to. Today was apparently one of those days since Edison wasn't giving her any sort of clues to what he had planned. All she knew was that they were going somewhere and she wasn't allowed to see where it was. What could possibly call for a blindfold? She was thoroughly confused at the moment. But then the blindfold was being removed and she stared at the building they were standing in front of. Oh.
Blue eyes moved from the building to her fiance as he spoke and she was momentarily speechless. They'd discussed a proper wedding but getting that going was taking a lot longer than she'd thought, with them both being so busy with work all the time. "Yes, of course," she said once she'd processed everything and found her voice again. She would insist on a proper wedding later, but she had no problem with making things official ahead of that.

The truth was, Edison didn't care how they got married. All he cared about was the fact that they become married and sooner rather then later. Sure, he was next to positive that no one would ever be as amazing as her. Honestly, he didn't deserve her, but that almost didn't matter to him. All that mattered to him was the fact that they got to be together in any way.
Seeing the fact that his wife seemed to be okay with the idea, he couldn't help but grin at her. He squeezed her hand and then move to open the door for her. "I already did all of the starter paperwork." He'd tried so hard to make this as good for Blaine as he could. And given the fact that this was a surprise, he had to take care of as many details as he possibly could.
Looking at Edison and realizing how prepared he'd been for this, how seriously he was taking it all, made Blaine love him just that much more. Unable to keep the smile from her face, she followed him through the door of the building. This was really happening. They were really about to get married. Pausing momentarily, she turned to the man beside her and kissed his cheek. "You're amazing and I love you."

Edison really couldn't wait to become married to his fiance. She was seriously the best part of his life and he couldn't imagine being without her ever. With her kissing his cheek, he blushed. It was almost too hard for him to not be too hard for him to not blush when she was with him. "I hope so, since we're about to become Orion-Faraday's." This would be fun though! They were joining as a family. Without thinking, he held her hand and started heading inside of the court house.
Growing up, Blaine had never thought she'd be so lucky as to marry the love of her life, but here she was with a man she couldn't imagine life without. And not only was she gaining a husband today, she was gaining family. It was a good feeling as the two of them headed into the building. "That's going to take some getting used to," she mused. "But that's okay."
