It was May which meant that he would be heading back home soon. Sylvestre was not entirely pleased with that notion. He was fond of the school library and he was making it his personal mission to go through every book minus restricted section ones by the end of his second year. Then he would do the same with the restricted section when he was old enough or could dupe some professor into giving him a permission form. Whichever came first, really. Sylvestre tended to follow the rules strictly - unless they inconvenienced him in some way. Mostly, he had no reason to, though, and he was more than content to stick to the library as a recreational spot.
He'd arrived at the library to find his usual spot taken by some older students so he had to make do with one of the other areas. He wasn't wholly happy about it but it wasn't worth the effort to ask for 'his' spot back. He'd chosen a book about the magical history of Egypt and was content to ignore the world as he read, taking notes every now and then of things he found of particular interest.
Being easily overwhelmed by people, Lorcan found himself spending a lot of time in the library. It was quiet and pretty much no one bothered him. It was ideal for the times that his twin or Liora were busy and couldn't keep him safe from all of the scary other people at the school. People were just a bit too much for the little salamander. Especially during the times that people linked his name to his great grandfather. That was always kind of weird. So he hid away from all of them.
That was what he intended to do today as well, having had enough of people for the day already and it was barely noon. He would just squirrel away at his usual table, that he sometimes shared with people that didn't panic him, and get some studying done for his upcoming exams. For all he complained to his mum about disliking school, he didn't want to actually fail at it. That would just disappoint her.
He wandered his way through the library, moving towards the back of the room and away from the more popular study areas. Rounding the final corner, the boy paused. Someone was at his table. Sighing a bit more loudly than he meant to, he supposed he could sit at the adjacent table, but that would just feel weird. Maybe he'd go back to the corner he'd found in the first week and just camp on the floor...

Sylvestre's attention was caught at the sight of a familiar face. Which familiar face it was, he really couldn't say since the Scamander boys were identical. This one was in the library though so he was going with the assumption that whichever twin this one was, it was the one that Sylvestre often saw also hiding out in the library.
"You can sit here if you want. I won't bother you," Sylvestre said, a fact backed up by the fact that Sylvestre had more books than what even he could possibly read in one library visit stacked up in front of him.
Lorcan stood there for a moment longer, even after the boy at his table invited him to sit. He wasn't really sure if he wanted to share a table with someone. It wasn't so much that he was worried they'd disturb him but that he disturb them. He didn't like being a problem.
Biting his lip, the boy moved to the table, sitting in the diagonally from the boy, giving as much space between the two of them as he could. "Thanks," he muttered, not making eye contact as he settled in the chair. Movements slow and careful, he moved his textbooks out of his bag along with his notes to start studying.

It didn't fuss Sylvestre one way or another if the boy would sit down or not so he simply continued with his reading. As the boy finally took a seat, Sly glanced up and offered him a smile. "You're welcome, I don't much like people being around either,"he commented before going back to his reading.
