Kameron shrugged. "All kinds. Action, fantasy, romance, sci-fi," he listed off. "Sometimes they take fictional books and make those in movies as well. That's what the cinema videos are called. Movies." He could see the sign for the building down the street now, so they were closing in quickly.
There were a lot of words being thrown at him, some that he didn't quite understand. He knew what the word "action" meant, but how did that apply to these videos? Sci-fi? What on earth did that mean? Edgar wanted to ask these questions, but he opted instead to remain silent. He would learn these things, he was sure, in a short period of time.
So instead of asking questions, he rather quietly said, "Okay," and looked around as they approached the cinema, which was another strange piece of what Edgar might later consider a masterpiece: London was unlike anything he had ever experienced, and for as much as it made him anxious and afraid, he admired its differences. It was unbelievable how Muggles could come up with something so...so this.
Walking into mysterious buildings was nothing out of the ordinary for Edgar, at least, so he was a little less tense as they actually entered the building. He was grateful that there were far less people inside.

As they walked inside the building, Kam kept an eye on Edgar to see how he reacted to it all. It could be a lot for someone that had never done something like that before, so he hoped it went okay. "Alright, so," he reached out to angle Edgar towards the wall of movie posters. "Which one of those looks the most interesting to you?" he asked.
Edgar didn't take too kindly to being redirected when he was in the middle of observing, but he didn't put up a fuss; he just glared at Kameron and looked at the posters on the wall. The snake crossed his arms over his chest and looked at all of them, but he had lived by that saying of "not judging a book by its cover," and although videos weren't books, he struggled to come up with an answer.
He moved along the wall and eventually stopped in front of one particular poster, which was rather dark and had people on it who looked frightened. He pointed his finger at it and turned to the lion.

It was interesting in a way, to watching someone pick a movie solely from it's poster. Even more when it was someone that had no concept of what they were really looking at. And once the snake finally chose the one he wanted, Kameron couldn't help but to shake his head and look amused. "Of course you'd go for the horror poster..." he mumbled. "Alright then. Go look at the snacks and see if anything looks appealing. I'll be right there." It felt a bit like directing a child, but at the same it was really not at all like that.
"Horror? Is that what it is?" Edgar looked back at the poster. Unsurprised, he grinned to himself. "Snacks? Where are those? Hang, is all of this free? I haven't brought any money." He patted his pockets to make sure that he hadn't simply forgotten putting any money in them, but he hadn't forgotten. He looked at Kameron with his eyes narrowed.

"It's not free but unless you have Muggle money tucked away in your pocket, you're not exactly in a position to pay anything," he pointed out. Because they hadn't exactly stopped somewhere to get things transferred around. "Don't worry about it. Snacks." He turned the boy towards the stand where snacks were.
Edgar was about to protest, to tell Kameron that he wouldn't let him pay for anything because he was a Halifax, dammit, and people didn't pay for Halifaxes, but two things popped into his head.
One, snacks sounded good, because he was a little hungry.
Two, he would buy things for Kameron later, and the lion would accept them.
"All right," he said after he finally decided to follow his two thoughts. He walked toward the snacks, hands shoved into his pockets and eyes moving around. When he got to the snacks counter, he was...confused, which was a running theme for him today. The names were strange, and the pictures weren't helpful at all. The "Can I help you, sir?" was answered with hesitation and then an honest, "I don't know."
Edgar turned around and looked for Kameron. This was nerve wracking.

It put him slightly on edge to send Edgar off on his own in a strange place for a moment, but Kameron figured giving him time to at least look at the snacks might make that go a little more quickly. Plus it wasn't as if getting the tickets for the movie was very exciting.
Once he had them both in hand, the blonde turned to look for the snake, spotting him rather easily since it wasn't too crowded yet. Hurrying over lest something bad suddenly happen, he came to a stop next to him. "Any luck?" he asked though he wasn't expecting very much.
Edgar spotted Kameron approaching and waited impatiently for him to arrive near the snacks. "I don't know what any of this means," he hissed. "Who is Reese? What are 'nachos'? 'Coca-Cola' sounds like a drug." The snaked crossed his arms over his chest and glared. "Do Muggles sell drugs in cinemas?"

"Did you try reading the descriptions on the packaging, because that tends to tell you exactly what it is," he said, tone not entirely condescending but enough. This wasn't saving any time at all if the snake wasn't going to even try. "Do you trust my judgement?"
"Something about--about peanut butter and cheese--" Edgar cut himself off, a bit flustered. He averted his gaze, looking off at a random couple who appeared to be arguing about something. "Sure," he answered quietly. Kameron knew more about this stuff, after all.

"Okay," Kameron said stepping up to the counter. Once it was his turn he got each of them a Reeses since that one had clearly stuck out to Edgar and some popcorn because it wasn't a movie without it. He also got drinks to go with the salty popcorn. Once everything was in hand, he went back to the snake. "Okay, let's go."
Edgar eyed the substances but didn't say anything about them. So much had already happened in the short amount of time that they had met at the Leaky Cauldron, and he had already asked quite a few questions that he didn't want to wear himself out. He took what Kameron handed to him and stared at it.
"All right." They walked to the theater, which was a much more peaceful experience than everything leading up to it; when they were inside, the snake stopped and looked around. It was large, with plenty of seats and a larger version of the screen on Kameron's fone. Edgar muttered a, "Wow."

It was nearly impossible to contain his grin at Edgars amazement and Kameron really only half managed it. Though he'd been keen to usher the boy around before to get them into the room, now that they were there he was glad to give the snake this moment. "Just wait until it starts," he commented as he scanned around them for the best seats. It was very full yet but there were a handful of people scattered about. "Where do you want to sit?" he asked though he had an option in mind if the snake bowed out of choosing.
