Getting the Head Boy badge had never been something Aeron expected from his time at Hogwarts. Hell, even getting Prefect hadn't been something he'd ever expected. The only badge he'd ever wanted from his seven years was the Quidditch Captain badge. That had been the only one he'd ever cared about having. But here he was.
Gathering all of the prefects into one compartment of the train was probably not the best idea, considering Cora still hated him and half of the rest hated each other, but he felt like getting everyone on board with keeping the school safe due to the growing threat was paramount right now. Feelings could be put aside for this. The message had been delivered to all of the Prefects, new and old, and all that was left was waiting for them to arrive.
Aeron was happy to take the moment alone to himself to gather his thoughts together. That didn't last very long though as the door opened and the first person arrived.
Never one to pass up an opportunity to get out of the clutches of his parents, Edgar Halifax was frequently one of the first on the train. His parents brought him to the station early every year so as to get him out of their hair quickly, so it was always a matter of biding his time till the train arrived.
When the doors were opened, he pushed his way onto the train. His Prefect badge was pinned to his chest, proudly displayed for the world to see; he hadn't expected it, but he sure as hell wasn't going to complain about it. What he didn't like was having to meet with all the Prefects on the train, but being one of the first people to arrive, he would easily find a good seat. Locating Aeron, he slipped into the compartment and sat down.
"Toole." He couldn't recall ever sharing a moment with Aeron, although he knew about the other boy. After all, Aeron had been a Prefect, and Edgar was going to be on the Quidditch team.
This summer had been... interesting. Between Professor Agyris introducing her to Freya, and everything that had spiralled after that introduction, and becoming Head Girl, Cora was a little bit confused as to what was going on with her life. Not that she was exactly complaining, in fact she was quite pleased with these developments. What she was complaining about was the fact that Aeron was headboy, which certainly put a hole in her plan to continue to ignore him until they had graduated Hogwarts. The plan was going to need to change, but that was doable.
So that she didn't lose her head girl badge at the first day of the year for not doing her head girl duties, she made her way down the train to where the prefect meeting would be. The sight of the two people sitting there made her want to turn around and go the other way. She didn't exactly know Halifax, but she knew enough of him to dislike him. And then there was well, Aeron. "What a delightful group of company," she said as she entered the compartment.
Rosa would have admittedly been very disappointed if she had not become a prefect. So it was probably a good thing that she had. She also knew that her parents may have been a little bit too, considering how much they expected of her. It was exhausting. Everything was exhausting. Despite the fact that she'd just had three months of summer, Rosalie needed a break. She needed everything to stop for a little while to give her the chance to catch her breath.
Waiting for Lyanna on the platform, the two girls made their way onto the train and to where the prefect meeting was. She was very glad that she had her friend, especially when one of the occupants in the room already was Edgar. He was a tiring force. "Edgar," she greeted, as Lyanna tugged gently on her arm and pulled her over to sit down next to her. She gave the two head students a polite smile, though the head girl looked less than pleased to be there. "Hello."
Saying goodbye to her father - her mother was at work, and decidedly not here to say goodbye as she went to school - Lyanna twisted through the train station to find Rosalie. She was concerned about her friend. Rosa might have kept saying that she was okay, but she knew better. She was quieter, and she seemed unhappy. But she wouldn't talk about it. Lyanna blamed Edgar Halifax to be quite honest, because that seemed to be the start of it.
The two girls made their way through the train. And of course Edgar was already in the compartment. She said nothing to him, instead pulling Rosalie over to sit with her away from him. She could have a break for a little while. "What a diverse collection of people," she muttered. Four purebloods, four Slytherins. How unsurprising. Though the head girl was a Slytherin and not a pureblood, so that was interesting. Her eyes rested curiously on Roswell. This would be interesting.
Wait. Where’d Aeron go? He’d been right next to her a moment ago when she said goodbye to her family. And now he wasn’t. They were going to the same place, he could have waited for her to come with him. That was exciting though, the fact that they were both prefects. And Aeron was head boy! Which was also very exciting, and Kathleen was very very proud of her brother.
Finding her way to where the prefects were meeting, she found a collection of people there already. “You could have waited!” she told her brother. “Hi Cora!” she missed Cora. And Renee. She had written Renee a letter over the holidays though because she missed her. She glanced at the other three, who were in her year, but she didn’t really know them very well. “Hi.”

Summer had gone by too quickly, but it had been a good summer. Kameron had spent time with his dad and with his friends, so it wasn't like it had been a wasted time. It was just never enough. School definitely wasn't his favorite thing in the world. Especially when it wasn't things he wanted in his future. He had no plans of a magical career.
Getting a prefects badge in the mail with his letter had been shocking to say the least, but his dad had been proud of him and that made the whole thing worth it. After saying his goodbyes on the platform, Kameron headed onto the train and to the compartment he'd been told to go to for a meeting with everyone else. That was sure to be interesting. Plus he wanted to see who else in his year had been chosen.
Entering the compartment, the lion glanced around, spotting a few familiar faces. This year was definitely going to be interesting. And probably a bit of a disaster if the tension in the air was anything to go by. "Hi, everyone," he said as he moved further inside, taking a seat next to Kathleen since she was in his year and he knew her. And to avoid being near Edgar in public since that was still very not okay at school apparently.

Dan had almost missed the train. He’d spent the evening saying goodbye to friends and he'd got carried away, forgetting to set an alarm for his final year. With almost two minutes before the train was to leave, he climbed on board trying to catch his breath.
Navigating the coaches wasn’t too bad as most people had taken their seats. Luckily the prefects had their own compartment so he wouldn’t be stuck with the first years. Finding where they were wasn’t too difficult and he noticed that not everyone had found their way to the meeting yet. Glancing around the room, he spotted Aaron who has been chosen as the head boy. Dan had been slightly gutted at not getting the privilege but it wasn’t the worst decision as the Slytherin was actually alright as a person.
Fixing his hair, he found a spot to sit with the other older prefects. “Hi, everyone have a good summer?” he asked the group making conversation. Most of the new recruits were here and looking eager and ready for their responsibilities. He wondered what this year would have in store.

Eric had never quite gotten used to the fact that he was a prefect and it was his final year! This was one of the big reasons why he had not been expecting a Head Boy badge. He didn't know Aeron that well but there had to be some reason why he had been picked. It wasn't in Eric's nature to question authority figures.
"Hello," he greeted softly as he made his way into the compartment that they had been summoned to. It was his last year. Just these few months left and then he could escape his oppressive household. It was a happy thought so he was quite happy and chipper at the moment, really.

Lottie kissed her parents on the cheeks and waved to her brother. Her sister hadn't bothered to come, citing she had too much revising to do. She was off to uni and she was 'revising?' Lottie knew better than that. Her sister had fallen in with an odd crowd her last year of college, and she was off to do who knew what. But Lottie's parent's turned a blind eye, as they knew her Lottie didn't get on so very well with her and didn't want to pressure her.
Hopping on the train, Lottie gave one last wave to her family before ducking inside. She thought of finding Damien for a catch up, before she realised he wasn't on the train. He had graduated along with her boyfriend, Tesla. Smiling at the thought of the pair of them, Lottie pushed away the feeling of lonliness that crept up on her. She would just have to work hard on making some new friends this year.
As requested, Lottie made her way towards the prefects carriage. Aeron, the new head boy wanted to see them. "Hello," greeted Lottie, before settling into a seat next to Eric. "Had a good summer?" asked Lottie, nudging the elder Hufflepuff.
Although saying goodbye to her family was never easy, Nadia was in a quite bubbly mood. That was pretty much par for the course at this point though. She moved quickly through the train to where the prefects had been told to go for a meeting, ready to see her friends and meet the fresh meat replacing their prefects from last year. IT was exciting to get to meet younger students and get to teach them how things worked.
Moving the door aside, she shot Cora a grin, still elated at her friend's appointment as Head Girl. "Morning everyone!" she greeted cheerfully as she moved to sit next to the Slytherin girl. Once she was settled, Nadia also shot a smile at all Gryffindors present.

He was a prefect. Tyler had squealed with joy when he had opened his supply letter only for the prefect badge to fall into his hands. His muggle parents could vaguely understand the importance since there was a similar position of prestige in most private muggle schools. He made his way to the prefect meeting, his nerves mixing with his excitement as he settled into the compartment with the others.
