Someday Ares might care that a decently known Quidditch player walking down the streets of Knockturn Alley wasn't the best idea, but today he still didn't care. How he behaved in his free time was his choice. And his choice today was finding a few new books. Though it had been some years, he wasn't quite over the loss of many to the fire. Some of them had been rare. Building up something as great from the ground up wasn't easy.
He'd just exited one shop without any wares and was on his way to another when he saw a face he hadn't for many years. In school, friends hadn't exactly been Ares priority, at least not once he'd turned sixteen and lost his parents. And he'd done little to maintain the relationships he'd had before that time. Most of the people he'd spent his time with during his school years were no longer people he was in contact with. But every once in a while he'd see a face here and there that he knew, most of the time ignoring them as he passed by. Today he intended to do no differently, except the added mistake of making eye contact as he approached. It wasn't normally a problem in the alley, with most people keeping to themselves and keeping their heads down, but it seemed that Mikhail Dragan didn't understand that as Ares met his gaze.
Maybe the other boy wouldn't remember him or recognize him, but since Ares was in the media so openly, he thought that wasn't really likely. This was going to be interesting.
