Kirstine, for all that she was soft and meek in demeanor, was actually a daredevil at heart. She was the quiet rebellion, ready to break rules for a sense of thrill and adventure. But tonight, it seemed that Kirstine was content to obediently keep within the boundaries of the Gryffindor Tower, but that was mainly because she hadn't contrived any plans yet. It wasn't like a seventh year studying for the N.E.W.T really had much time to do so, unfortunately. All of the work burned her out and made her want nothing more than to lay down on her bed and wait for sleep to overtake her. It had been easier to do whatever she pleased when she had been younger, but now, Kirstine was getting a taste of what it meant to be an adult with obligations.
And so there they quarter veela, donned in her nightgown, sat on her bed, leaning against the pillows piled up against the bedhead. Even though her sister was the librarian, Kirstine shared none of Raina's literary passions, so she definitely was not whiling away the hours reading some bestselling novel or intellectual non-fiction. Instead, she kept her gaze downward on her lap with her head bent slightly low as she pretended to braid her long flaxen hair while humming the tune of a lullaby. Her thoughts were on a dashing male housemate who she had taken a slight fancy toward. Too bad he was a fifth year. Her beauty was most likely enough to charm him despite the age difference, plus the fact that they did look to be around the same age, but it always seemed to be a bit awkward when the girl was older.
