Summer didn't know where her brother and sister were. To be honest, they tended to kind of forget about her sometimes. That was okay, though, she knew they were both very busy and they'd talk to her when they had time. It was fine, really. She just got really bored sometimes, being all alone in this castle when they were busy. She was too shy to make a lot of friends.
Her mom, seeing that Summer was struggling to make friends, had suggested she get a cat. She'd even gone to Diagon Alley to help Summer pick one out over a recent break at home. She'd selected a bit of a grumpy old tabby, even with the choice of various adorable kittens, and named him Mister Nugget. It seemed to be the perfect name.
Unfortunately, Nugget liked to wander. Today was no exception - he'd run off again while she'd been in class. Now, she was wandering the first floor looking for him in vain. Happening upon another student, Summer smiled brightly at him, then asked her question. "Excuse me, have you seen a gray striped cat? He's kinda fat....he runs really fast...." She offered, though it was a fairly generic cat description.
Fidget was lost. Not the "I know where I'm going but don't know how to get there" kind of lost but the kind of lost that a bored eleven-year-old kid might feel in a castle with more things to explore than he actually knew what to do with. When someone approached him smiling all nice like and asking questions, he smiled right back. This would be great!
"I'm sorry, I haven't seen him, but I could help you look for him!" Fidget felt bad that she'd lost her cat, but he he would have wanted to help her anyway. He was dressed for the occasion in his fluffy dragon pajamas and slippers since he had been getting ready to just hang out in the Slytherin Common Room for most of the day, but fluffy dragon pajamas were equally great for finding missing kitties!
Summer smiled at him - he seemed nice. And he wanted to help! This was great. She definitely needed help. To be honest, she didn't exactly know her way around the castle very well yet, and she was sort of hoping this guy did. Either way, it'd be an adventure - she loved adventures! "You really want to help me?" She asked, ever so used to being the forgotten little sibling.
Looking him up and down, she brightened even more as she took in what he was wearing. "I like your pjs, by the way. My name is Summer." She said, giving a small wave. "I'm a Ravenclaw, what House are you?" She asked, curious. She was obsessed with knowing everyone's house when she met them, probably because she wished she could have been in Gryffindor like her sister or Slytherin like her brother. But, they were not like her. They were better.
Fidget nodded eagerly. "Yes, I'd love to help!" Maybe they could become friends! This was super exciting. And she liked his pajamas! Oh, this was so exciting! "Thanks! I just got them, uhh...recently! I also have bunny pajama bottoms and turtles and....I'm a Slytherin! What's it like being in Ravenclaw!
"Come on, let's talk while we look for your cat! What's his name?"
Summer grinned excitedly at Fidget - he seemed really, really nice so far and she definitely needed to make more friends. It would be pretty cool if she made one in another house, too! She couldn't wait to learn more about Slytherins. Her brother was a Slytherin too, but he was always too grumpy to ask questions. "That's so cool! wish I had cool ones. They don't make cool ones for girls." She decided, a bit forlorn.
"Oh, it's fun! But everyone is so smart all the time." She explained. She was always a little worried she didn't make a good enough Ravenclaw - had the Hat made a mistake. "His name is Mr. Nugget. What's it like being in Slytherin? Also, which way should we go? Do you know where we are?" She asked all of the questions in a rush, before looking around them.
Fidget frowned. "Well, that's not very fair. I'm sure there's something cool for girls." Would Summer fit in his dragon pajamas? Maybe now wasn't the best time to give those to her since those were all he had with him, but maybe he could surprise her later.
"Mr. Nugget, that's a great name! Um...I don't know where we are. Mr. Nuuuuuggeeeeeeeet!" Fidget even cupped his hands around his mouth. He learned somewhere that that made words travel further or something. He wasn't really sure. "I've met a lot of really nice people, and some of them are my friends! Some of them are really busy though, so I don't bother them as much.
"Come on!" Fidget started off down a random direction. "Miiiisteeeer Nuuuuuggeeeeet!"
@summer OOC: rip, Fidget has pets at home and all those names are not written down on this site

Ah! Ok, it seemed like he was just as lost as she was. But that was fine! At least they could look for Mr. Nugget together. "Yay! I'm so glad you're gonna help me!" She skipped happily beside him, not really caring what direction they were going in. It was more fun now that she had someone along to help. "My brother is a Slytherin. He's always really busy though. Or grumpy. He gets really moody sometimes....I don't know why he's such a mad person. He likes to set things on fire! It's scary sometimes." She explained, using her hands to mimic the outline of a burning fire. She knew he would never hurt her, though, so it was okay. "If you were a cat, where would you go?"
"Fire?" That sounded really dangerous! Was Summer okay? Fidget gave her a look of pure shock. "My sisters are nothing like that. They're all nice and smart and outgoing and don't like setting things on fire. They also give me hugs a lot." Sometimes it embarrassed him, and that was why they did it so much. He still loved them.
If he was a cat, where would he be...."The dungeons?" he suggested. He didn't see any cats when he was there, but cats were small and sneaky so that didn't really matter. He had dogs at home, so he wasn't entirely sure what a cat would do.
Riiiiight. Rebekah had warned her that she shouldn't advertise that Bellamy liked to play with the fire-making spells, even if it were true. She could see how it could scare some people, and she felt really sad that she might have scared Fidget. "It's not gonna hurt anyone, though! Don't worry. He just gets grumpy." She said quickly, waving her hands in a way to dismiss the topic of fire. "I have a sister too! She's in seventh year. She's a Gryffindor. She's really brave. She gives me a lot of hugs too." She said, excited again. The girls tone made it clear that she had nothing but the highest opinion of both of her siblings, no matter their flaws.
Summer's smile faltered at the idea of the dungeons. She went down there for Potions, obviously, but mostly liked to avoid it because it was dark and scary. But, he was a Slytherin, so he must know all the ways around, right? "But it's not too scary down there, right?" Summer asked, looking a little nervous.
Well, if Summer said it wouldn't hurt anyone, Fidget would believe her! Why shouldn't he? "My sisters are older, but they all graduated and moved on. I'm here alone." It was sad sometimes, but he didn't mind. He was making new friends, and then he had stories to tell his sisters when he got home!
"It's not scary at all! It's a little dark and wet...but that's it! We have potions there, right? So it can't be all bad! If you want, I can look alone and you can look somewhere up here." He didn't mind. He would be sad to see them split up, but if it made it easier for summer, Fidget was totally on board.
Sunmer couldn't imagine not having her brother and sister here, even if they were buttheads sometimes. Moving closer to the boy, she linked her elbow with his and smiled brightly. "But now you're not alone, see? We can be friends." She said, deciding this so easily. She liked him, he seemed nice. She wanted him to be her friend, it was as simple as that.
She also decided she trusted him when he said that it wasn't too scary. He seemed like he was smart. "I'll go with you." She promised, trying her best to look brave.
"Friends!" That was super easy! Fidget wished it was that easy to make friends with everyone, but some people were just really shy or mean or didn't like him, which made him feel bad. He didn't want to be disliked, but mostly because he didn't want to be the kind of person who gave someone a reason to dislike him.
"Are you sure? I don't want you to be uncomfortable! But I'll be right there with you the whole time." Maybe if they just stayed close together like this it wouldn't matter! They could keep each other safe and find Mr. Nugget.
She was happy. She'd made a friend! It was great. She hoped she could make lots of friends, but Fidget seemed like a good start. Plus he had a funny name, and she liked it. "I'll be brave. Come on let's go!" She said determinedly, pulling him forward with her, towards the stairs that would lead them down to the Dungeons, skipping a little as they moved forward. "Do you like it here? I like it here. I think it's really neat. My sister told me I wouldn't like it but I think she was just trying to be mean." She said, laughing a little.
Fidget wasted no time moving with Summer. He even skipped a little with her, just because it looked like fun and he liked having fun and maybe Summer would like it. "I love it here! There's so much to discover and so many people to meet. I love meeting new people and making friends. My sisters told me I would love it here, but sometimes I miss them. They write to me a lot, so that's really nice.
"Do you like exploring the castle? It's really kind of neat. There are a lot of passages and stuff. I bet there are a lot I'll never discover."
Summer had been too busy with her classes to explore very much. She just liked to sit in her common room and read. Plus, exploring wasn't fun when you had to do it all by yourself. Maybe Fidget would help her explore! "I haven't had a lot of time to explore. Maybe we can explore together someday!" She said, a little shyly. As they descended the stairs, Summer spotted something and rushed forwards. She scooped up a red bell - the exact kind that'd been hanging from the cat's collar. "Look! It's from Nugget's collar. He must have gone this way."
