After the third, rather angry letter to the head of the magical law enforcement Maxwell Whitlam, Sirius Black was done for the day. He had great faith in the new Head Auror – he had been part of the choosing process after all – but it seemed that Whitlam was having trouble collecting all the needed intel about the kidnappings that had surfaced. Sirius had kept tracks on everything and according to the Prophet, the kidnappings had just escalated and more deaths were involved. It threatened the safety of the wizarding community and with that, came the threat that something might happen to Rory. Sirius wasn't going to risk anything. If he could fight back, he'd do it. The Order had stayed in the background for a while and Sirius knew this was not the good time to deploy the spies behind the enemy lines, not until he had more information. He had asked Filibuster to gather some backgrounds of the ones that had been kidnapped but the man had gone radio silence for a bit.
The Order had soldiers ready to protect, that was for sure. Sirius was glad that even after the war, there were individuals ready to step up no matter what they had seen. He was glad that Harry had found peace but at the same time was still willing to fight. After asking permission from Ginny, of course.
The owl had already left, flying to London and to Whitlam when Sirius exited his office, couple of papers and books that he needed to return to the History of Magic professor. Definitely not his favorite subject but Walker was certainly fun. Not that Sirius had dealings with Walker in the past. That was either a good thing or a bad thing, you tell me.
Already in a foul mood, Sirius Black ran into a student who managed to bump all the things off from his hands.
" So sorry, professor Black!" Squeaked the Hufflepuff.
Sirius Orion Black let out something that resembled a growl. " Leave." He finally barked and the Hufflepuff scampered away.
The books back in his hands, the man continued his trek to Walker's office and knocked on the door. The fellow professor better be in or there was a very big chance Sirius simply charmed the books on Walker's door with a permanent sticking charm.
" Walker?!" Barked the man, feeling extremely irritated after the collision with the student. It most certainly had not been his fault but all the things that were happening. It all made Sirius more stressed and more worried that always made him more prone to hexing someone.
