Annabelle blushed, but said nothing. It was true, she was lucky that Wayland essentially waited around for her. But his statement wasn't one of whole truth. In fact, she remembered finding out during a game of truth or dare that he had been swept up by another girl. To be fair, Anna had dated other boys before him and... other things. But it still pained her to imagine him kissing, touching, feeling that other girl. She had even visited him in hogsmeade once and Anna had the distinct desire to rip her hair from her skull. Even though they were not technically together.
Clearing her throat, anna shook her head to rid herself of those memories. "Well it doesn't matter now. Whatever happens, we will be together." She held up her pinkie for him to promise. "Forever." The thought made her smile. They never had to be apart again. Having forgotten about the champagne in her hand, Anna took a sudden sip, draining the glass. "After all this, we'll be a proper family," said Anna, beaming at Wayland. Finally. It felt like she's had been waiting for this forever. She refilled her glass and topped off waylands. "So... What should our first order of business be as a newly engaged couple?" Asked anna, quirking a brow playfully.

you are loved more than you know.
Looking back on their journey, he found it didn't really seem to matter how they had ended up here in the end. What mattered now was that they were together, they always would be. Had it hurt him, to see her daunt on other boys and worry herself restless when they did something stupid, when they bruised her feelings? Absolutely. But, he'd been patient and he'd trusted in them, and, it seemed like it had all worked out for the better now. It finally felt like he had a place to go home to, and his home would always be wherever she was.
He had completely emptied his own glass, too excited to pace himself. the bubbly liquid lighting a trail of warmth as it left his mouth, headed for his stomach. He smiled when she offered her pinkie, hooking his own through it. "Forever." He echoed. Never had a word sounded quite so inviting before, not really. "You've always been way more important to me than anyone else, though. You've been my family since the day I stepped foot inside this castle for the very first time." He explained, meaning the expression fully. "As for activities, I have some ideas. But they use less words than actions, so I'd probably have to show you..." He said, his tone turning coy and playful.

Soon enough, they would be a proper family. Of course, Anna had always considered Wayland a part of her family. "And you for me," she echoed. "Though I never loved you like a brother. I never knew what place in my family you were. But now I know. You're my life partner," said Anna with a slight nod. They were meant to be together, she was sure of it. Wayland echoed her sentiment, and that was that. Remembering the glass in her hand, Anna drained it then refilled it. She took another sip, enjoying the feeling of bubbles against her lips and the way the ring caught the sunlight filtering through the trees.
Not the ring. Her ring. Anna took a deep breath. She could hardly believe that she was actually engaged. To Wayland. But she wouldn't have it any other way. Anna giggled at Way's insinuation. "Oh, is that so?" she asked, placing her glass on the ground. She was sure to knock it over soon, but all sensible thoughts were far from her mind. Anna moved closer to Wayland so that their lips were mere inches apart. One of her hands rested on the side of his neck, the other on his arm. "What exactly did you have in mind?" she breathed, her eyes flicking to his lips.

you are loved more than you know.
Annabelle was truly his other half. She made him want to be better, she made him want to try harder, to aspire to be bigger and stronger than he had ever been before. He'd never had motivation to live, never had a light at the end of the tunnel, not without Annabelle. If there was ever anything in this world he had needed, it had been her love. And even though it had taken her awhile to give it to him, he couldn't be more happy now that he had it. "This is...everything I've ever hoped for." He admitted, mirroring her actions and refilling his own glass.
He could feel his own thoughts taking a decisive turn, so much so that words were becoming steadily more difficult to form. His one track mind was clearly leaning towards a specific, straight-shot path, one that came with instant gratification. Now that his nerves were quelled and his previous odd behavior was explained, he could get back to acting like his normal self. "Oh, you don't want me to spoil it for you by explaining it, trust me." He promised, his voice dropping an octave when she came closer. Suddenly, it was all too much, and he gave up on the facade of teasing, capturing her lips triumphantly with his.

Annabelle, like Wayland, was easily distracted. "I couldn't imagine my life with anyone else," she said, a smile curling at her lips. She moved closer to him now, so they were just inches apart. She had in mind the same thing that he did, and that didn't require very much talking. Her gaze flicked to his lips, then met his eyes again. She wanted to kiss him, but they had all the time in the world for that now. She smirked at his next comment and kissed him back all too willingly. She broke the kiss only to pull his jumper over his head before recapturing his lips in earnest.

He liked where this was going, certainly. But as she tugged at his jumper, he quickly began to realize how cold it was out here. Sure, the champagne was helping. But, there were certainly so many better options for spots for activities such as these. They didn't need to subject themselves to freezing temperatures for the sake of intimacy.
He reluctantly pulled away from her, though he hovered close by as always. "I think we should go somewhere a bit warmer, don't you, love? I mean, unless you're some sort of arctic creature who'd enjoy going without clothing in this temperature."

Annabelle pulled back, nodding her assent. It was logical. It was also strange that either of them were being logical at all, since she certainly felt as if neither of them ever were. "You're right, of course. I much prefer the warmth," she said. She kissed him quickly then glanced down at her hand to see her adorned finger once more. The grin that spread across her face was so wide and bright, it could have lit up the entire grounds with its radiance. "I can't believe all this is real," said Anna, looking back at Wayland. At once, her heart skipped, her breath caught and impossibly her grin widened. How had she managed to be so lucky?
Standing, Anna offered Wayland her hand. "Where do you fancy?" she asked, taking another sip of her champagne. After all, they were still celebrating. She reckoned they could just use magic to make it a bit warmer, but indoors worked as well. As long as she could be with Wayland, she was happy. Anna realised that she had been staring at Wayland with that same grin on her face and didn't even realise if he had spoken. "I love you," she said simply, meaning every bit of it. "How funny, isn't it? Of all the words in this language, the three that carry the most weight seem to be so short and simple," she added thoughtfully.
